Brown Ale

An ale with a deep brown tone, this is our version of a traditional British style, balanced toward the malt (three of the varieties used are imported), this ale exhibits classic ale smoothness.

  • 2007 Beverage Testing Institute World Beer Championships (85 - Silver)

Recipe:

Squash w/Brown Ale Maple Glaze

  • 5 C of diced squash of your choice seeded & peeled (probably not spaghetti squash tho)
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T dark maple syrup or molasses
  • 1/3 C of Brown Ale
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Steam squash over boiling water until almost tender, about 20-25 minutes. Brown butter in large skillet over low heat. Add squash, maple syrup, and brown ale. Stir & cook until tender. Season with salt & pepper. Yields 6-8 servings.
