16th Annual BOCKFEST

Every February, thousands of beer lovers brave the cold Wisconsin weather to warm up with their first taste of Capital Brewery’s Blonde Doppelbock™ and its ‘lighter’ sibling, Capital Brewery Maibock™. What started as the legendary Polar Beer Club™ has morphed into one of the premier winter events in the Midwest.
Talk about awards - Blonde Dopplebock has achieved PLATINUM status an unprecedented 5 times at the Beverage Testing Institute's (BTI) World Beer Championships, receiving a score of 98 (Superlative!) in 2010. More recently it won a Bronze medal in 2012 at the World Beer Cup (WBC), considered by some to be the Olympics of Beer.
Capital Maibock’s recent awards include a Gold in 2010 from the BTI, a Bronze in 2011 from the U.S. Open Championship, and a Silver in 2012 also from the U. S. Open.
Both Blonde Doppel and Maibock have satisfied beer lovers for over 15 years. These amped-up beers have international pedigrees and we are proud to share them with all of our customers in WI, MN, IA, IL, MI and FL.
We’ve been celebrating the annual release of Blonde for 15 years, and the event has grown to become a favorite for beer lovers from across the country. Tickets will be available for sale on January 27th 2013 at Capital Brewery (and Maibock will be on tap in the Stube!), at all Steve’s Liquor locations, and at Star Liquor on Willy Street. In addition we will be raffling some tickets off at select drinking establishments – stay tuned for further information. You can also receive tickets when you get a room at select hotels near the Brewery – always a wise choice.
If you can’t make it to the event, feel free to have one (or maybe two) on tap or in the bottle and simulate your own personal Bockfest of the mind!
Bockfest features fun, great beer, food, music, costumes and our annual Running of the Blondes™ 1k race.
Remember - only 2,500 very lucky folks will attend Bockfest 2013. Will you be one of them?

You can show up on Feb. 23 and wait in the General Admission line for a chance to get in
Those with tickets to Bockfest will get in to the event between 11am and noon. At noon if we have room for more will will open the general admission gate and you pay $15 for entrance and your 32oz drinking mug!
There will be a Badger Bus & trolley shuttling people to and from hotels, parking maps and downtown Middleton from 9:00am until 7:00pm.
